Cancellation Policy

A. NON-REFUNDABLE RATES
Full prepayment is required to confirm reservation. If cancelled or modified, 100 percent of the total cost will be charged. In case of no-show or early departure, 100 percent of the total cost will be charged.
B. FLEXIBLE RATES
If cancelled or modified more than 14 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled or modified later 100 percent of the total cost will be charged. In case of no-show or early departure, 100 percent of the total cost will be charged.

Early Departure Policy

An early departure fee will be imposed on guests departing prior to their scheduled departure date. Fees will be up to 100% of their confirmed length of stay. Please contact the resort for further information.

Prepayment

A. NON-REFUNDABLE RATES
Full prepayment is required to confirm reservation. Reservation’s total cost will be charged the day of the reservation.
B. FLEXIBLE RATES
For all other reservations (flexible reservations) the hotel will pre-authorise your credit card. Pre-authorisation is just a validity check by your bank that temporarily blocks on your credit card an amount equivalent to the cost of the first night. The amount will be unblocked after a certain time period (about 15 business days). Pre-authorisation is not an actual charge, the full amount will be available to you again, by your bank. Your credit card will only be charged if you have requested a Non-refundable room or if the cancellation policy has not been followed.

Arrival Transfer

Free arrival transfer from airport/port is provided between 08:00 and 23:00 (minimum 2 nights stay is required, maximum car capacity: 8 persons). Guests are kindly requested to inform the property at least 21 days in advance if they wish to make use of this service. Hotel reserves the right to reject last minute arrival transfer requests. Contact details can be found on the booking confirmation. Kindly note that departure transfer is upon extra charge.

IMPORTANT: You have to book your free Arrival Transfer appointment at least 21 days before arrival:
1) Please send us your exact arrival details (Airline / Ferry Company, Flight number / Ferry Name, exact Arrival Time) in order to book your free pick-up arrival transfer service from the airport/port.
2) Smaragdi Hotel reserves the right to reject* to provide arrival transfer (no refund) if your arrival details are received less than 21 days before arrival.
*If you send us the arrival details later than 21 days before arrival, then you will have to take a taxi on your expense; if there is not last moment availability in transfers’ appointments (taxi costs about 25-30 Euros for 2 persons).

Arrival Time

Please inform Smaragdi Hotel in advance of your expected arrival time for check-in. Please contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.

Pre-authorisation

For all Flexible Reservations, your credit card will be checked (pre-authorised for 1 night’s cost) to ensure that it is valid and/or that sufficient funds are available. After the check, the full amount will be available to you again, by your bank, after a certain time period (about 15 business days). Your credit card will only be charged if you have requested a Non-refundable (pre-paid) room or if the cancellation policy, found under ‘Hotel Policies’ and room ‘conditions’ has not been followed.

Pre-authorisations are common but are often confused with actual charges. While in-store purchases are immediately charged and deducted from your available balance, pre-authorisations are temporary holds. The length of the hold will vary, and your credit card company (bank) can advise how they handle this. Don’t worry, if your card is pre-authorised, both the hotel and your credit card company (bank) is there to help. They may also be able to assist you with removing these holds sooner.

Children Policy

– 1st child 0-2 years old stays free of charge (upon request) 
– 2nd child 0-2 years old is charged normally (adult rates) 
– Children between 2-18 years old are charged normally (adult rates) 
Baby cot is provided upon email request (max 1 per room) 

A baby cot (free of charge, for a baby under 2 years old) can be added only to room type Deluxe Room. Safety regulations strictly forbid baby cots in all other room types. You should contact directly the Hotel to confirm availability of baby cots and room size.
Extra child/adult charge is 20€/per night (using existing bed) 
Extra child/adult is allowed only up to max room type capacity

Disability Policy

Due to traditional architecture, those with disabilities and mobility problems may have difficulty going to or from their rooms (steps). We have a limited number of rooms on ground floor appropriate for those with disabilities and mobility problems. Please contact directly the Hotel to confirm availability of these rooms. Please describe us in details your kind of disability and specific requirements (steps, doors dimensions etc) in order to be able to confirm that the above room types are suitable for you. All bookings for those with disabilities and mobility problems, must be reconfirmed by Hotel’s Reservations Department.

ID Requirement / Credit Card

Guests are required to show a photo identification and the provided credit card upon check-in. Acceptable forms include a valid passport or an ID card for Greek guests.

Please do not forget to bring with you the credit card that you used in order to make your reservation. Our reception desk will ask this card upon your arrival, for all Non-Refundable/Prepaid reservations.

Group Reservations

When booking more than 4 rooms, different terms and policies and additional supplements may apply. All group bookings must be reconfirmed by Hotel’s Reservations Department.
